Eligible Members

Save where it is provided for in this Constitution, AMIR is an umbrella organization and its membership is open any corporate entity recognized by law including but not limited, Microfinance Institutions, Cooperatives, Banking institutions, Non-governmental Organizations, insurance companies, Umbrella organizations and any other organized entity which the Association whose membership is deemed valuable to the Association.

Categories
There are five categories of members:
1. Founder members.
These are professional members who were present at the first meeting of 12th June 2007 and put their signatures on this constitution as founder members with voting rights.

2. Adherent members.
These are members who joined the Association upon application for membership after 12th June 2007

3. Associate members.
These are non-voting members who are supportive to the objectives of the Association and have interests in the activities of the association.

4. Affiliate members. 

These are non-voting members who require affiliation to AMIR to be able to provide credible services to their members.

5. Honorary members.
These are non-voting members of honour who supports the association in any form and whose presence significantly contributes to the image and credibility of the association. An honorary member may be a physical person.
